fitness inspiration

When I was in Secondary School, I didn't really care much about my eating habits or felt the need to exercise because I was naturally skinny. When I went to Poly, I started to cut out a lot of the junk food because I wanted to have better eating habits and to feel healthier.

I'd finally taken an interest in fitness slightly over a year ago because I saw a lot of fitness and motivation blogs on Tumblr and it inspired me to get that sexy bikini body. I have a really high metabolism rate thanks to genetics and I am still quite thin but I didn't have the flat stomach and nice round ass. Hence I decided to start working out because I wanted to feel more confident with myself. I didn't just want to be skinny, I wanted to be fit and healthy and to look good in my underwear.

I started by following ToneItUp and Blogilates on Youtube and I really enjoyed doing the work outs. They were enjoyable and didn't feel like a chore. I think I started seeing results about 3 months later. I could see that my stomach was getting flatter and my legs were getting more shapely. 

Fast forwarding to now, it has been close to a year and a half after starting to work out. I still do videos from ToneItUp and Blogilates but I have added TaraStilesYoga as well. Occasionally I go to the gym or ride the Flowrider at Wavehouse. I do not take any protein or supplements and I know that in order to get the body that I see on magazines and pictures, I probably need to. But at the moment, I do not plan to. I know I probably still have a long way to go to get where I want but for now, I am quite happy with my body.
